Soon I felt the need to branch out, under the above-mentioned monikers, as to not fully exhaust
One of my questions in the beginning was if I could create music cheaply, easily and affordably. The answer was an inevitable “yes!” Constructing and mixing sounds became a positive hobby. I have never been short on ideas, nor on what themes that I may want to explore. I have a love for all music; music which spans many genres and many countries. -
The soundscapes are structured, inspired and influenced by those early psychedelic, space and progressive rock as well as those early krautrock/ kosmische musik artists of the late 60s and early 70s. Very inspirational. The music is further influenced by electronic, experimental and world music. Creating soundscapes for imaginary soundtracks to go along to theatrical themes no one had requested. -
Subjects range from viruses, mysticism to star systems. I have a love of history, philosophy, art, science and for cultures that are not my own. These subjects and themes often find their way into my music, and I try to create soundscapes for those subjects. For myself, but with a little hope, I might inspire someone else to look up similar content and be as blown away by it as I was. -
I’ve worked independently for over a decade on these projects, as a hobby. Going in no particular direction, and creating content for no particular audience; I worked in periods, and these periods are categorized into albums and EPs which have been ed throughout the years. ed though, not promoted them. I’ve selected a series of tracks below that showcases September Phases is taken from the first full length, 2010’s Soundz from a Big Fantastic Imaginary Band.

This track was assembled while I was in between abodes after a trip to Indonesia. It’s heavily influenced by Indonesian If Crowley were to ever read over Noize is a track which is an ode, homage to Aleister Crowley. I’ve always held a reverence from Crowley, having been introduced to him through songs about him from the likes of Ozzy, Bowie to Zero Kama.

My reverence comes more from his mountain climbing pioneering – he made two attempts at K2 – to his travel through lands at a time when they contained far more mystery than they do today. Crowley’s not for everyone, and that’s okay. Clouds in the Upper Atmosphere is a track taken from the 2013 LP Union Spring. The song is basically about … wait for it … clouds forming in the upper atmosphere.

Forming at such high latitudes as 150,000 ft. in the stratosphere, Polar stratospheric clouds are visible in the upper atmosphere in both hemispheres during winter. - Peromyscus Leucopus was taken from the 2015 LP Assortments ov Assessments and Developments. The track was assembled in around a time that my family and I moved into a home, near a creek and railroad tracks (with a field and creek to boot). We leased it but were not informed that the home also came with 10 million mice! I am no friend of mice, our personalities clash, they’re vermin. Knowing there are mice in your house can, well for me anyway, play psychological havoc on my mind. I obsess over things.

We eventually got a cat, and then…. Nothing. On this particular album, I had included tracks about mice; Prodrome in which Aberrations of Perception and Hallucinations Occur taken from the 2018 LP Ideology. Prodrome - is a term used for signs or symptoms of an illness that appear before the major signs or symptoms occur. Prodrome can be used to describe early signs of schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders. Aberration – a departure from normality. So perception (senses) become distorted, an aberration, and then hallucinations will occur. Prodromal symptoms of schizophrenia cause aberrations in five domains: attention, perception, speech production, motor functioning, and thinking.

Within time, manifestations of schizophrenia prodrome increase in intensity and are unlikely to ever subside if treatment is not provided. Ov Moi Omm
